Our Erasmus+ experience in Malta - March 2024
This experience was full of great moments, I am so greatful for having the chance to get to know cultures, and learning new life lessons. Sometimes it is great to get out of your comfort zone and discover new places.
Talking about the activities and college, there was a great variety of activities which were thought by professional teachers and the shows given from the other countries were mind blowing.
You can tell that the festival was well prepared and they dedicated themselves a 100% to make this an unforgettable experience.

Esta experiencia estuvo llena de momentos maravillosos, estoy muy agradecido por tener la oportunidad de conocer culturas y aprender nuevas lecciones de vida. A veces es genial salir de tu zona de confort y descubrir nuevos lugares.
Hablando de las actividades y la universidad, hubo una gran variedad de actividades impartidas por profesores profesionales y los espectáculos ofrecidos por otros países fueron impresionantes. Se puede decir que el festival estuvo bien preparado y se dedicaron al 100% para hacer de esto una experiencia inolvidable.

This opportunity is one of my most unique experiences. At the beginning, I was negative about the country because of the quality of the rooms, but over time, I learned to love them. I shared time with people from many countries: Italians, Tahitians, Germans... They are all lovely people. With them, I practiced my speaking and listening skills. This opportunity is one of the best things that have happened to me. Thanks to Holqa for experiences like the metaphorical activities and the good team leaders who guided our group with a positive attitude and natural demeanor. Talking about our experiences, I remember the mornings at the college, with all the activities, the tour in Valeta, and the magical nights in the rooms with our new friends. Thanks to all of you for these amazing experiences!

Esta oportunidad es una de mis experiencias más únicas. Al principio, estaba negativo respecto al país debido a la calidad de las habitaciones, pero con el tiempo aprendí a quererlas. Compartí tiempo con personas de muchos países: italianos, tahitianos, alemanes... Todos son personas encantadoras. Con ellos practiqué mis habilidades de expresión y escucha. Esta oportunidad es una de las mejores cosas que me han pasado. Gracias a Holqa por experiencias como las actividades metafóricas y los buenos líderes de equipo que guiaron nuestro grupo con una actitud positiva y una conducta natural. Al hablar de nuestras experiencias, recuerdo las mañanas en el colegio, con todas las actividades, el recorrido en Valeta y las noches mágicas en las habitaciones con nuestros nuevos amigos. Gracias a todos ustedes por estas experiencias.

For me, the trip to Malta was an incredible experience, not only because of meeting people, which was also very nice, but also because traveling to another country with your friends is a wonderful experience. I learned things from other cultures, such as the Tahitian dances that I loved, saw the talents of other people, learned things about different languages, such as Italian, improved my English speaking skills, and much more. In short, going on Erasmus is something that I recommend to people because it is a very nice experience.

Para mí, el viaje a Malta fue una experiencia increíble, no solo por conocer gente, lo cual también fue muy agradable, sino también porque viajar a otro país con tus amigos es una experiencia maravillosa. Aprendí cosas de otras culturas, como los bailes tahitianos que me encantaron, vi los talentos de otras personas, aprendí cosas sobre diferentes idiomas, como el italiano, mejoré mis habilidades para hablar inglés y mucho más. En resumen, ir de Erasmus es algo que recomiendo a la gente porque es una experiencia muy agradable.

It was my first Erasmus experience, and it was wonderful. I was surprised by how much I learned in just one week. I didn't know that the world was so beautiful, but the people I met there reached my heart. I definitely have to travel more when I finish my studies. Everything seemed like I was in a movie, and I miss it all. In addition, I now place more importance on improving my English because you never know if the future father of my children will be Italian, Irish, or maybe French. I have become a more sociable person, and above all, now I have motivation to study because someday I have to fulfill all my goals.

Fue mi primera experiencia Erasmus, y fue maravillosa. Me sorprendió cuánto aprendí en solo una semana. No sabía que el mundo fuera tan hermoso, pero las personas que conocí allí llegaron a mi corazón. Definitivamente tengo que viajar más cuando termine mis estudios. Todo parecía sacado de una película, y lo extraño todo. Además, ahora le doy más importancia a mejorar mi inglés porque nunca se sabe si el futuro padre de mis hijos será italiano, irlandés o tal vez francés. Me he vuelto una persona más sociable y, sobre todo, ahora tengo motivación para estudiar porque algún día tengo que cumplir todos mis objetivos.

For me, this experience has marked a lot in my life. It has been an experience that I could not have enjoyed more. I think it has helped me a lot to improve my level of English, and I have met wonderful people who will always remain in my heart, and whom I hope to see again one day. All the moments I have experienced have been wonderful, from having to spend the night in an airport to dancing and singing until I lost my voice with people I have grown very fond of. I would definitely repeat the experience again.

Para mí, esta experiencia ha marcado mucho en mi vida. Ha sido una experiencia que no podría haber disfrutado más. Creo que me ha ayudado mucho a mejorar mi nivel de inglés, y he conocido a gente maravillosa que siempre permanecerá en mi corazón, y a quienes espero volver a ver algún día. Todos los momentos que he vivido han sido maravillosos, desde tener que pasar la noche en un aeropuerto hasta bailar y cantar hasta perder la voz con personas a las que me he encariñado mucho. Definitivamente, volvería a repetir la experiencia.

It has been an experience that I will always remember. I have made new friends and learned a little about different cultures: dances, songs, traditions, and much more. It has made me see that art is not based on just one term or just one thing. It has brought together all the participants of this Erasmus, and now we are all inseparable. It is a unique experience that we should all live at least once in a lifetime. Me ha hecho ver que el arte no se basa en un solo término o en una sola cosa. Ha reunido a todos los participantes de este programa Erasmus, y ahora somos inseparables. My experience in Malta has been very rewarding. I have met many kind people from different countries (including my own high school) with diverse cultures, and talking with them has significantly increased my knowledge of English. Mi experiencia en Malta ha sido muy enriquecedora. He conocido a muchas personas amables de diferentes países (incluso de mi propio instituto) con diversas culturas, y hablar con ellas ha aumentado significativamente mi conocimiento del inglés. Además, he aprendido mucho sobre Malta y me divertí mucho con momentos inesperados que no esperaba.

Hi! Well, my experience in Malta was definitely something. Why do I say this? I say this for the simple reason that there has been a mix of feelings when going there. First of all, the place wasn't my absolute favorite, but it was pretty okay, even though the tourist places were absolutely stunning. The place where we stayed was a bit messy, but we did our best to keep it clean and not mess things up. The activities there were pretty awesome, and I enjoyed everything we did. But that's not the best part; the best part was definitely meeting people. We have met so many wonderful people that to this day we still have contact and keep talking; everybody was so wholesome, and I miss every single one of them. I absolutely recommend having this experience; it will always have a special place in my heart; I'll never forget it."

¡Hola! Bueno, mi experiencia en Malta fue definitivamente algo. ¿Por qué digo esto? Lo digo por la simple razón de que hubo una mezcla de sentimientos al ir allí. En primer lugar, el lugar no fue mi favorito absoluto, pero estuvo bastante bien, aunque los lugares turísticos eran absolutamente impresionantes. El lugar donde nos alojamos estaba un poco desordenado, pero hicimos nuestro mejor esfuerzo para mantenerlo limpio y no desordenar las cosas. Las actividades allí fueron bastante increíbles, y disfruté de todo lo que hicimos. Pero esa no es la mejor parte; la mejor parte fue definitivamente conocer gente. Conocimos a tanta gente maravillosa que hasta el día de hoy seguimos en contacto y hablando; todos eran tan amables y los echo de menos a todos y cada uno de ellos. Recomiendo absolutamente tener esta experiencia; siempre tendrá un lugar especial en mi corazón; nunca la olvidaré.

I loved the trip to Malta with Erasmus. We were not in the best conditions, but I felt very comfortable. I have met incredible people whom I continue to keep in touch with and who have helped me a lot with my personal development. It has also helped me with my fluency in speaking English, and I would like to repeat this experience again one day.

Me encantó el viaje a Malta con Erasmus. No estábamos en las mejores condiciones, pero me sentí muy cómodo. In my personal experience, I can divide this trip into two parts. The first part was during the initial 3 days when I experienced a kind of cultural shock as I expected something resembling Sicily, but the landscape was more akin to Almería. However, the remaining 4 days were enjoyable as I spent time with people from my high school and visited interesting places. In the end, I had a very enjoyable week and would gladly relive it again.

En mi experiencia personal, puedo dividirla en dos partes. La primera parte fue durante los primeros 3 días cuando experimenté una especie de choque cultural. Esperaba algo parecido a Sicilia, pero el paisaje era más similar al de Almería. Sin embargo, los 4 días restantes fueron agradables, ya que pasé tiempo con personas de mi escuela secundaria y visité lugares interesantes. Al final, pude disfrutar de una semana muy agradable y estaría encantado de vivirla de nuevo.
